Why not to pass Aniball on

From a doctor’s perspective: why sharing Aniball is not safe

In my practice, I often come across the question of whether Aniball can be passed on to another woman after use - for example, to a friend or a sister. I completely understand why this idea comes up. At first glance, it may seem like a practical, economical, and even ecological solution. However, from a medical point of view, I do not recommend it.

Aniball is an intimate device. It comes into contact with a very sensitive area of the body, and for hygiene reasons, it is intended for use by one woman only. Even thorough cleaning or disinfection cannot reliably ensure that the device will be safe for further use - especially since there is no way to verify how it was previously used.

From a safety perspective, the way the device has been handled is also crucial. If you obtain Aniball second-hand, you cannot verify how it was used, stored, or maintained. In practice, we often encounter the use of unsuitable lubricants, particularly oil-based ones. These can damage the structure of the balloon material and weaken its properties. Such damage may not be visible at first glance, but it can pose a risk during use.

Safety should always come first.

Although the intention to share the device often comes from a good place, with  medical and intimate products it is essential to prioritize safety. This can only be ensured when Aniball is used by one woman from the very beginning.

If you would like to “pass Aniball on,” I recommend sharing your personal experience instead. That is what can be the most valuable support for other women
